Bio
Joe Barrett was an American painter raised in East Los Angeles who served in the U.S. Navy during World War II before studying art at the Jepson Art Institute on the GI Bill under Rico Lebrun. He spent decades painting and teaching, producing hundreds of pieces over almost seven decades. A proud father and grandfather, his son and granddaughter are stewards of his legacy, on a mission to conserve and archive his body of work.
